About HymnGather
Thank you for taking some time to see the platform. HymnGather was built to bring musicians of Christian faith together—a place to find collaborators, join groups, discover performance opportunities, and worship through shared musical passion.
Open & Collaborative
This project isn't meant to be viewed as a definitive solution, but as a starting point. If you're inspired to build your own version or take this in a different direction, that's exactly what we hope happens.
Future Plans
Additional features are planned and will be integrated as time allows. A roadmap will be added soon to share the vision for where this platform is headed.
The Ultimate Goal
Beyond the technical benefits, the eventual approach will hopefully address a practical reality: as the user base grows, the cost of maintaining centralized infrastructure—database hosting, file storage, bandwidth, backups—can become pricey for a single maintainer or small team. By enabling communities to host their own instances, the infrastructure burden gets distributed. Churches, music organizations, or regional communities can run their own servers with their own resources, while still participating in the broader network. That's the long-term vision: decentralized, community-owned, financially sustainable, and built to bring people together through music.
